WARABU
Founded in 2018 by chef and entrepreneur Jorge Neves, Warabu was born with the mission of incorporating unique ingredients from the Amazon to create organic and sustainable chocolate. More than that, we seek to respect and value traditional forest communities, promoting the preservation of biodiversity.
Warabu is the fruit of the forest and a dream: to bring the best of Amazonian cocoa to the world, combining flavor, responsibility and a commitment to nature and the people who live in it.

"SOMETHING THAT COMES FROM THE ORIGIN OF THE EARTH"
The name "Warabu" carries a deep meaning. It comes from the indigenous Tupi-Guarani language, where it means "something that comes from the origin of the earth."
This choice of name symbolizes the essence of the company, which finds its roots in family farmers, non-profit organizations such as "Origens Brasil", the Central de Produção Orgânica da Transamazônica e Xingu cooperative and in communities of indigenous peoples.
Warabu Chocolates is more than just an organic chocolate brand; it is a testament to the possibility of producing with responsibility, respect and authenticity . Each chocolate bar is a celebration of the biodiversity of the Amazon, a tribute to traditional communities and an opportunity for all of us to make a positive difference in the world.
It's the story of the Amazon, carefully wrapped in each piece of chocolate, inviting you to be part of this journey of flavor and sustainability.

PURPOSE
Recovering the culture of cocoa cultivation in the Amazon, an original fruit
of the land, although it is no longer recognized as such. We use
wild cocoa of native species located in the Amazon basin
collected by family farmers, as we believe this is the
path to the development and conservation of the Amazon.
SOCIAL VALUES
Warabu values extractive cultures and adopts the method
Fairtrade, not allowing middlemen in its chain,
thus providing better remuneration to these producers,
fairer conditions and favoring preservation.
DIFFERENTIALS
Warabu represents respect for the entire production chain. We follow
personally the processing steps (harvesting, fermentation and drying) and
we make sure there is no work
irregular and/or exploitative.
